Ammo did become a bit scarce, but that's why you're able to carry THREE other weapons on you. Boy, I started hardcore for my first playthrough and didn't die once. You need to be pretty bad at games to fail this badly, and on easy mode. Thanks to the developers Dead Space 2023 is burning rubbish nothing more! I hate how games are optimized for people with hyper able bodied people whose only vocabulary is Get Good! Games that are designed only for people who play hardcore difficulty is killing gaming. All the enemies in the game are bullet sponges to a degree. There are times I run out of ammo in Dead Space 2023 especially trying to kill the bullet sponge Leviathan.

Dead Space 2023 is totally screwed up in that ammo is rare. Turns out playing Dead Space 2008 you get a ton of ammo enough that it does not in any way hinder game play.
